Quimper is a city in Brittany, France, made famous for the distinctive pottery made there. A friend gifted me this cup and saucer which I set to painting with a collection of flowers from my late-summer garden.
“Quimper Cup” is painted on archival heavy-weight watercolor paper measuring 18×12”. It could easily be cropped to fit standard-sized frames if you wanted to highlight the flowers and cup more than the negative space surrounding them.
The flowers offset the wooden surface and designs of the cup nicely.
This study requires more shipping fees due to the size. It must be kept flat. Of course, local pick up is available, too.
