Painting pets

Sometimes I have requests to paint something and have little idea of how happy the resultant artwork will make me.

This cat had passed and a good friend wanted to honor his people and their loss with a small portrait. The time I spent with Bill the Cat was interesting — I felt him materialize on the paper, particularly as his eyes came to be. What a dream commission!

Sometimes I get to paint pets on ornaments, like this sweet one of Poppy.

And sweet Cinder all decked out for her birthday 🥳

You can imagine I’ve enjoyed the time I spent with these cuties. 🐕 🐈‍⬛
