Field trip!
Earlier this year I found myself at the MFA in Boston and an exhibit on fantastic and inspiring quilts.
Made by women in China of scraps and fabric remainders, they have become active and energetic newness!
This one particularly feels like a log cabin done somewhere on the US prairie in the mid-to-late 1800s and alas, nope! So interesting!
The abandon with which these are assembled and constructed are just what I need to see. What a great reminder that all does not need to be perfect! These wonky edged constructions are perfect in and of themselves. :)
The cacophony of color and shape — not everyone’s cuppa, but they’re certainly mine ♥️
